China Mobile Enjoys Data Boom

China Mobile reported telecoms services revenue of 167.3 billion Chinese yuan (25. 2 billion US dollars) for the third quarter, up 7% year-on-year from 155.8 billion yuan a year earlier. The operator said it now has 622 million 4G customers, up from 535 million a year earlier. Voice usage in the quarter fell 7% year-on-year to 954 billion minutes, while SMS usage slipped 0.5% to 135.8 billion messages.
