Cisco said last week that its sales in the quarter ending July 25 fell 18% year-on-year to 8.5 billion US dollars, but John Chambers, the telecom equipment maker's CEO, said that there were a number of positive signs in the economy and that the quarter may prove to have been a turning point for Cisco's business.
