Motorola said at the end of last month that it generated sales of 5.5 billion US dollars in the quarter ending July 4, 2009 - a decline of 32% compared with the quarter ending June 28, 2008. Mobile device sales were down 45% to 1.8 billion dollars, while revenues in its Home and Networks Mobility unit fell 27% to 2 billion dollars.
