Ernest Cu, the new CEO of Globe Telecom in The Philippines, told reporters: "The business is not bad. Demand is there from the consuming public and the usage level is the same as last year." Referring to Globe's first quarter performance, Ernest Cu said revenue may have been supported by steady remittances from overseas Filipino workers.
