Telcos in Germany have bid a total of just over 5 billion euros to acquire new spectrum. Vodafone Germany bid about 2.1 billion euros, gaining more spectrum in the 1800MHz band than its rivals, while Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica Deutschland committed 1.8 billion and 1.2 billion euros respectively.
