Verizon, one of the big two telcos in the U.S., said its revenue grew 4.4% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2013 to 30.3 billion US dollars. Wireless service revenues were up 8.4% year-on-year driven in part by continuing strong uptake of LTE - Verizon said it activated another 6.8 million LTE devices in the quarter, taking the total number of LTE devices on its network to 36 million.
