Alcatel-Lucent said its revenues fell 0.7% year-on-year at constant currencies in the third quarter to 3.8 billion euros, dragged down by a 2.6% fall in revenues in its networks segment.
Ben Verwaayen, CEO, commented: "For the remaining part of 2011, given these market uncertainties, and selective spending from our customers, especially in Europe, we now expect weaker revenues there than initially planned in the fourth quarter of 2011."
