Vodacom, one of Africa's leading mobile operators, said that its group revenue increased 3% year-on-year in constant currencies to 14.03 billion South African rand (1.88 billion US dollars), boosted by a 43% increase in data revenue. Vodacom said its growth was curbed by a reduction in regulated mobile termination rates in South Africa, which cut its revenue by approximately 393 million rand in the quarter.
